Hi there, I’m the owner and the face of this blog. You’re probably here because you’re asking who this girl actually is and well here we go. My name is Tara van Dijk, guess you already knew that since this blog is named after me (a little bit narcissistic, isn’t it?). I got a second name, but I won’t tell you. Born on december 27th in the year 2000 in the Netherlands. You can calculate for yourself how old I’m. Still in school, VWO 4 (dutch system, don’t ask). Dark blonde hair and got two different colored eyes (that’s kinda cool, right?). I’m one of the tallest of my friends, 176,4 cm. I have a huge love for Teen Wolf, Gossip girl, One Tree Hill and Grey’s Anatomy. The food that I love the most is chocolate, especially butterscotch chocolate and Kinder chocolate. If I needed to choose one ice cream flavor I would go for hazelnut. Got a gluten intolerance, celiac, it’s not easy but I’m used to it. These are my interests and loves in a nutshell.
Back in the days, when I was a young and cute kid, I loved playing with my Barbie dolls (one had wings that had glitter and lights in it and the other could sing, so you can say I had pretty cool Barbies), making up stories about them and painting terribly. Further in my creative career (uhm) I started getting more interested in writing. I wrote short stories. Later I would steal the camera from my parents to make selfies for my Hyves. That combined resulted in a blog. Not this one, no, I started blogging when I was 10 years old. I made my own blogger account and published my very first post in 02-10-11.
In the end of 2013 I took blogging a bit more serious and bought a domain, mevrouwtara.nl. I was still blogging in dutch. I neglected it after a time. Posted irregularly, etc. I needed a new challenge and was inspired by my good friend Ilah. She decided to begin blogging in English. It’s going to be a challenge, that’s sure. But I’m willing to take it. I’m hoping that I would blog more and grow. That’s also the reason why I moved from ‘MevrouwTara’ to ‘Tara van Dijk’ as domain.
I hope to inspire people.
